Additional Incentives


InvestChile also offers incentives in several additional investment areas.



Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Credit

For businesses that produce goods and services, with annual revenues of up to US$ 40 million, excluding VAT.
  • Maximum credit of US$ 15 million.
  • Fixed interest rate with payment terms of up to 12 years and a grace period of up to 36 months.
  • 30% of the total financed amount can be used for working capital.

Environmental Credit

For businesses that produce goods and services, with annual revenues of up to US$ 30 million, excluding VAT.

  • Maximum credit of US$ 5 million.
  • Fixed interest rate with payment terms between 3 and 12 years and a grace period of up to 30 months.
  • 40% of the total financed amount can be used for working capital.
*Business must contribute at least 15% of the required investment.

Investment Credit

Small, medium-sized and emerging businesses with annual revenues of up to approximately US$ 7.7 million, excluding VAT.
  • Guarantees coverage of non-payment risk (up to 70% of the unpaid balance on loans)
  • Maximum coverage of approximately US$ 190,000

Coverage of Bank Loans to Exporters

Applies to private exporting companies with annual sales (domestic sales and exports) of up to US$ 30 million, excluding VAT.
  • Covers up to 50% of the unpaid balance on loans.
  • The total loan may not exceed US$ 5 million.

Reimbursement for Capital Goods in Special Economic Zones

Applies to investment projects with revenues of less than US$ 800,000, and new projects with a maximum investment of US$ 1.9 million.
  • Covers up to 20% of the amount used for the materialization of investments in capital goods.

International Centres of Excellence Subsidy

Applies to International Centres of Excellence which specialize in technology transfer and are associated with a national research and development organization.
  • Subsidizes up to 50% of the project for the first three years (up to US$ 3 million annually)
  • Subsidizes up to 35% of the project for the following seven years (up to US$ 1.5 million annually).

Tax Incentive for R & D

For taxpayers in the first category of the Law on Income Tax who have R&D contracts in excess of 100 UTM (monthly tax units) with CORFO registered research centres.
  • Equivalent to 35% of total paid for R&D contracts certified by CORFO.
  • A tax reduction on the remaining 65%.

Technology Missions Subsidy

Subsidy for international missions of 5 to 15 unrelated private companies, technology centres and trade associations.
  • Entities with annual revenues of less than US$ 3.8 million (approx.) can receive up to 70% of the total project amount
  • Entities with annual revenues greater than US$ 3.8 million (approx.) can receive up to 50% of the project amount
  • Maximum subsidy is approximately US$ 80,000.
* Higher subsidies may be granted in special circumstances

Technology Internships Subsidy

Subsidy to finance internships, which applies to private sector companies (at least 1 year old) that produce goods or services.
  • Entities with annual revenues of less than US$ 3.8 million (approx.) can receive up to 70% of the total project amount
  • Entities with annual revenues greater than US$ 3.8 million (approx.) can receive up to 50% of the project amount
  • Maximum subsidy is approximately US$ 30,000.

Specialized Consulting Subsidy

Subsidy to support the contracting of international experts, which applies to private businesses producing goods and services, technology centres and trade associations.
  • Entities with annual revenues of less than US$ 3.8 million (approx.) can receive up to 70% of the total project amount
  • Entities with annual revenues greater than US$ 3.8 million (approx.) can receive up to 50% of the project amount
  • Maximum subsidy is approximately US$ 55,000.

Individual Business Innovation Subsidy

Subsidy to support innovation by private companies in the areas of goods, services, processes, organization or trading methods.
  • Covers up to 50% of the total project.
  • Maximum subsidy of approximately US$ 730,000.
